Hotel De La Sacnu

Yes, Hotel De La Sacnu is open for business! (to our Spanish speaking friends, I am sure that this is totally incorrect use of the language, but it sounds really good).

Last night we had some unexpected, but very welcome guests! You see, Minneapolis is a great stopping point when traveling West. And that is just what Brian and Lisa, our Seattle friends thought as they were driving from Chicago back to their home. It was so fun to see them, even it was only for a few hours and most of those we were sleeping! We hope they have very safe travels back to the West Coast!

Tomorrow, Mr. & Mrs. Sally will be staying with us through the New Year. Should be fun times. We are not much of New Years Eve people, so a night at home playing games and eating junk food is always fun!

Introductions

Hi - welcome to my new blog. Yes, I used to have a blog, but then some people didn't like what I was writing on the blog, so I have decided to create a new one and make things a little more private. I don't know if I am even going to post pictures at first - you'll have to excuse me for being cautious at first.

I initially thought about not even bothering to blog at all, but then I decided that this has been a great way for me to stay in touch with my friends who are spread out across many states and there is no reason to punish them for the actions of others.

Maybe I am being a little over-dramatic (I have known to be that way from time to time), but this is what I feel is best for now.

So, begin the fabulous adventures of Sally (that's me) and my husband Uncas. We have been married for a year and a half and live in the Twin Cities. I work as a paper-pusher at a large educational institution and Uncas is a software developer. Life rarely seems to be dull for us. We are looking forward to buying a house this spring, so who knows where that will take us!
